Old Forest Chai
A blend of chai spices, nourishing roots and grounding medicinal mushrooms to rebuild and promote immune and nervous system function. Mushrooms like Reishi contain the energy of old growth forest, teaching us to slow down, allowing our bodies to to rest and absorb necessary nutrients from food and our natural environment. Without caffeine as a stimulant, this blend won't send your cortisol and other adrenal hormone levels off the charts (quite the opposite actually), but instead provides natural, sustained energy.
This blend of spices and herbs is meant to make a decoction, though if you're in a hurry or don't feel like waiting, you can steep it like a regular tea as well.
Wondering what a decoction is and how to make it?
Using 1 tbsp. of herbs per cup of water, put water + herbs into a suitably-sized saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn it down and let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Then strain and add raw honey and milk or add grass-fed butter or coconut oil for some extra healthy fats.
Organic ingredients: cinnamon, ginger, reishi, ashwaganda, astragalus, marshmallow root, cardamom, cloves, and black peppercorn.
