Our most gentle mask, Soma is for sensitized/sensitive, dry, and dehydrated skin. It strengthens, moistens, hydrates, soothes, plumps and reduces redness caused by loss of moisture. Oftentimes inflamed skin has become overly sensitized by any number of factors leading to a damaged lipid barrer. Used in conjunction with high quality lipid oils such as those found in our serums, Soma can help repair this damage while it nourishes your skin's microbiome.

The stars of this deeply restorative mask are Tremella mushroom, Violet Leaf, and Marshmallow Root. Tremella, or “snow mushroom” works even more effectively than hyaluronic acid to boost skin hydration and actually pull moisture into the skin. Packed with polysaccharides, which are antioxidants that hydrate and protect the skin, research shows Tremella increases collagen levels in skin, rehydrates & softens dry skin, and prevents damage to skin cells.

Violet Leaf moistens skin while gently supporting healthy lymph movement, reducing puffiness and stagnation. Abundant in minerals as well as Vitamins A & C, Violet leaf nourishes dry, depleted skin, clears heat, and pairs beautifully with other moistening plants with its slight astringency to help tone skin, retaining hydration.

Our quintessential moistening herb, Marshmallow Root rehydrates dry & irritated tissues, calms redness, and softens skin. It helps to thicken the mask when it’s allowed to steep for a few minutes, giving it a beautiful creamy texture.

To Use:
Mix 1-2 tsp. of Soma with warm water or hydrosol to make a thin paste, allow it to steep for 10 minutes. Apply to your skin and leave on for 8-10 minutes keeping the mask moist by misting with a hydrosol. Wash off with warm water and follow with a hydrosol or tonic and serum.
